Poderi Colla; a distinctive winery crafting excellence in the heart of Italy.
Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Piemonte, Poderi Colla stands as a beacon of traditional winemaking mastery and a testament to generations of dedication. Situated in the renowned Alba region, this esteemed winery embodies a rich legacy of producing exceptional wines that resonate with the essence of the land and the artistry of its vintners.
Poderi Colla is very much a family affair and builds on the Colla family’s three centuries of winemaking heritage in northern Italy. Founded by Tino (brother of the legendary Beppe Colla) and his niece Federica, the family believe in a non-interventionist approach to winemaking, to give each wine a unique expression of site and vintage.
Embracing a stewardship for the land, Poderi Colla is committed to sustainable viticulture. By employing eco-friendly practices and employing organic methods, the winery ensures the longevity of their vineyards while safeguarding the environment for generations to come.
The winery’s vineyards are a patchwork of meticulously tended parcels, each reflecting the unique character of the soil and microclimate. The Langhe’s diverse terroir imparts distinct qualities to the varietals cultivated here, resulting in wines that exhibit an authentic sense of place. A great deal of pride is taken in the diverse portfolio of wines, each carefully crafted to be a true expression of their origins. From the elegant and complex Barolos in Bussia, characterised by their structured tannins and refined flavour profiles, to the charmingly expressive Dolcettos and Barberas, Poderi Colla’s lineup is a true celebration of Italy’s viticultural treasures.
