Based in the heart of the Peak District, Hattersley Wines is a hub for wine enjoyment and exploration. Following generations of Hattersley's working in the hospitality industry John started Hattersley Wines as a side venture to pursue his passion for wine. Together with his daughter Sarah and supported by a skilled team, they are the driving force behind this multi-award winning independent.

Hattersley Fine Wines came into being out of a desire to showcase the superb wines on our shelves and bring you some of the best wines from around the world.

The Hattersley team brings a wealth of experience through their combined skills and knowledge, evident in every bottle of wine sold.

We select our wines based on many criteria, but a wine will never be on our list because it is a ‘name’ or has some renown. Of course, we look for a great wine in the glass, and then we look further at the philosophy behind the winemaking process, right from grape to glass, ensuring that they are in line with our own views of low intervention and sustainable wine making, whilst always delivering over and above when it comes to unique character, expression, and quality.

We have built strong relationships with these wine makers, many of them reaching back decades, and are such that we consider these people as friends and colleagues. We equally are consistently looking for new, interesting, and note-worthy wines to extend our portfolio.
